Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is a Taiwanese single malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It combines whisky aged in three types of sherry cask: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. The dried fruits of the Oloroso lead, with caramel and the sweetness of maltose layered alongside the tropical fruit character of the distillery. The colour is a deep scarlet.
The nose is of ripe berries and dried fruits, with grapes and citrus, chocolate brownie and toffee, then cinnamon, clover, oak and rosemary. The palate is warm, smooth and mellow, with candied fruit, caramel and honey.
