Kentucky Gentleman is a straight bourbon matured for 4 years in virgin oak. It is produced by Sazerac at the Barton distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, which was established in 1879 and is the oldest working distillery in the town.
The nose has caramel and corn sweetness with a hint of mint and baking spices. The palate brings baking spices with caramel behind them, light mint, a mild buttery pepper and creamy vanilla. The finish is fairly short and sweet. Its four years in virgin oak make it a bourbon for a Whisky Sour or for mixing with cola.
