Kentucky Owl Batch No. 9 is a barrel proof, small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, released in October 2019 by Master Blender Dixon Dedman. It is bottled at 127.6 proof (63.8%) in a 75cl bottle, the highest proof of any Kentucky Owl batch at the time of release.
The blend draws on four mash bills, with stocks aged 6, 7, 12, 14 and 15 years, matured in new charred American oak. Production was 10,314 bottles, each numbered and signed by Dedman on the back label.
The nose offers apple, white grape, cinnamon roll, maple candy, vanilla and oak. The palate is full bodied, with honey, honeysuckle, tea, citrus and caramel. The finish is long, with a peppery kick and lingering oak.
