Kilbeggan Black is a blended Irish whiskey that adds a gentle smoky note to the Kilbeggan style. It is double distilled, matured in ex-bourbon casks and blended with lightly peated malt, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with ripe apple, pear, peach and creamy butterscotch, with a light touch of peat. The palate is mellow and rounded, with green fruit and cereal moving towards soft, earthy peat smoke and gentle spice. The finish is warming, with delicate peat smoke and a little spice.
