This is an 8 year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman, distilled in 2017 and finished in a single Marsala cask. It was bottled in 2025 at 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 246 bottles produced exclusively for Aberdeen Travellers.
Kilchoman is a farm distillery on Islay's west coast, built by Anthony Wills in 2005. It mixes its own medium-peated malt with heavily peated malt from Port Ellen.
The nose combines fresh vanilla, caramel, red fruits, wood smoke and stone fruits. The palate is balanced, with festive spices, hazelnuts, raisins and rich smoke, and the finish is long and rounded, with layers of peat, smoke and fruit.
