Kilchoman Port Cask Matured 2024 is an Islay single malt from Kilchoman Distillery, released in 2024 as a limited annual edition. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and natural in colour, with peat at around 50 ppm.
The whisky is matured entirely in Portuguese port pipes, which give it a fruity, deep and sweet character alongside the peat smoke.
The nose is red berries, plums, strawberries, soft peat smoke, honey, dark chocolate and sweet spice. The palate is rich with port, raspberries, red fruit, caramel, toffee, warm smoke and light spice, with a creamy texture. The finish is long, fruity and smoky, with red wine, chocolate, sweet oak and peat.
