Sanaig is a single malt from Kilchoman, the farm distillery at Rockside Farm on the north-west of Islay. It is bottled at 46%, with no added caramel and no chill-filtration. It is matured mainly in former sherry casks from Miguel Martin in Jerez, alongside some bourbon casks. Kilchoman was founded in 2005 and sold its first whisky in 2009. The whisky is rich in layers of caramel, vanilla, honey and dried fruit, with sweet Islay peat smoke and a citrus sweetness.
