Kildalton 22 Year Old is an independent single malt from an Islay distillery on the island's south coast, released by Milroy's of Soho as part of its Vintage Islay Reserve. It was distilled in 2003, matured for 22 years in a single bourbon barrel, number 112, and bottled in 2025 at a cask strength of 53.7% in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from the historic Kildalton parish.
The nose has smoked sea salt, tarry rope, lemon zest and vanilla cream. The palate is velvety, with charred pineapple, medicinal peat, candied ginger and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with wood ash and coastal brine.
