This is a 12-year-old Kilkerran, the Glengyle single malt from Campbeltown, bottled on 28 March 2018 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks, and it has natural colour and no chill filtration.
The bourbon casks bring creamy vanilla and honey, while the sherry adds raisins, soft spices and dried fruit. There is a slightly smoky Campbeltown note and an oily texture, and the finish carries citrus, oak and subtle mineral notes.
