Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It is matured in a combination of Bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is led by oak, with toasted marshmallow, dried fruit pudding, cherry, marzipan and a hint of peat. The palate opens fruity with citrus and orange peel, then moves to vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuit.
The finish is smooth, with lemon meringue, some oiliness and a saltiness typical of Campbeltown.
