Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It was matured in a mix of 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks.
Kilkerran is lightly peated and twice distilled, and it is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration. The malt comes from the neighbouring Springbank distillery, which belongs to the same Mitchell family company.
Glengyle was founded in 1873 by William Mitchell and closed in 1925. It reopened in 2004, again under descendants of the Mitchell family.
