Kilkerran 12 Years Old is a Campbeltown single malt made at the Glengyle distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. This is the 2026 edition. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, roughly 70% in bourbon and 30% in sherry. It is lightly peated, at around 12 to 15 PPM.
The nose brings toasted marshmallow, dried fruit, cherries and marzipan with a hint of peat smoke. On the palate, citrus and orange peel give way to vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and biscuit, with pepper and an oily texture. The finish is long and soft, with lemon meringue, butterscotch, roasted nuts and a little smoke.
