Kilkerran 16 Years Old is the 2026 limited edition from Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, and the first 16 year old release matured fully in sherry casks. All of the whisky comes from Oloroso sherry casks, with no bourbon casks in the mix.
It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose begins with tobacco and tomato leaf, followed by rhubarb, blackberry and orange. On the palate come chocolate mousse and Medjool dates with brown sugar and blackcurrant. The finish has mint leaf, salted raisin, hazelnut dark chocolate and a touch of ash.
