Kilkerran 8 Year Old Bourbon Cask Matured (2026 Release) (70cl, 57.7%)

This is an 8 year old Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery, released under the Kilkerran name as part of an annual series. It is bottled at a cask strength of 57.7% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured only in bourbon casks, and the spirit is lightly peated and oily. The nose offers lemon zest, vanilla, honeyed malt and oak shavings, with a light coastal note and a thread of peat. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet malt, barley sugar and vanilla, balanced by citrus oil, toasted oak, pepper and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and lightly smoky, with lemon curd, oak spice and sweet malt.
