This is an 8 year old Kilkerran, the single malt made at Glengyle in Campbeltown, a sister distillery to Springbank. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 57.7%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured entirely in bourbon casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings butterscotch, vanilla cream, apple butter and a little white miso, then sponge and poached pear. The palate is creamy, with shortbread crust, caramel chocolate, gooseberries, white grapes, cigar-box smoke and sandalwood. The finish has green pepper and honeydew melon with an ashy note.
