This is Batch 11 of the 8 year old Kilkerran, a Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery. It was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength, 55.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with zesty notes of key lime pie, apple jelly, honey and vanilla. The palate is creamy, with banoffee pie, vanilla custard and panna cotta. In the finish come sea salt, brine and a note of gorse.
