The bourbon casks suit the oily, coastal style of Kilkerran, giving the spirit a creamy, rounded character.
The nose brings butterscotch and custard creams, followed by apple butter, cream sponge and the sweetness of poached pear. The palate is creamy, with shortbread crust, smooth caramel chocolate, gooseberries and white grapes, and a cigar box smoke that develops slowly.
