Kilkerran 8 Years Cask Strength is a limited single malt from Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, taken from Batch 3. It matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and was bottled on 24 October 2018 at 56.5% ABV. It is a lightly smoky whisky, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose is waxy, with malt and vanilla, candyfloss and sponge cake. The palate is fruity, with watermelon, lemon and green apple, then a syrupy, mineral texture and salted peanuts. The finish is balanced, earthy and smoky, with liquorice.
