Kilkerran 8 Years Old Cask Strength Batch 3 (70cl, 56.5%)

Kilkerran 8 Years Old Cask Strength Batch 3 is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery, matured in bourbon casks and bottled in October 2018 at 56.5% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle. Glengyle belongs to the Mitchell family, who also own Springbank. It reopened in 2004 after almost 80 years of silence. This is the third batch of the cask strength eight year old. The nose is described as oily and waxy, with spice and tobacco. The palate is rich, with cardamom, cloves, leathery smoke and plenty of citrus, and the finish is long and oily.
