Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 (57.8%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 is the smoky expression from Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at a cask strength of 57.8%. This batch is vatted from 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. Like every Kilkerran single malt, it is natural in colour and non-chill-filtered. The nose is sweet, with icing sugar, crème brûlée and vanilla custard. On the palate the smoke is soft and sweet, with toasted marshmallow, then gooseberry and parma violets as it opens up. The finish keeps its sweetness, with notes of orange flesh.
