Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a Campbeltown single malt, here in its Batch 12 release for 2025. It is bottled at 58.4% in a 70cl bottle as a limited edition.
The whisky was matured in 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. Kilkerran is made at the Glengyle distillery and bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
On the nose there is creamy butterscotch and caramel, with rye bread and tea leaves. The palate brings Iberico ham, brandy snaps, a familiar oiliness and smokiness. The finish is gentle, with lemonade, honeycomb, mint and peat smoke.
