Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 12 is a heavily peated Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle distillery. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colouring.
The nose is strong peat smoke with a maritime edge, alongside citrus, caramel and dark fruit. The palate is oily and intense, with bonfire smoke, sweet malt, spice, dried berries and fine oak spice. The finish is long and smoky, with salty minerality and a sweet depth.
