Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13 is a small-batch single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at cask strength of 58.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition.
The whisky is peated to 45 PPM and matured mostly in ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose brings smoke, butterscotch, citrus, sea breeze and a sweet note of fried banana. The palate has a generous measure of peat smoke with mineral notes, honeydew melon, seaweed and pepper, with the alcohol fairly prominent. The finish is of medium length, smoky and spicy.
