Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a strongly smoky Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery, and Batch 13 is the 2025 release. Glengyle reopened in 2004, returning whisky making to Campbeltown, and is owned by the Mitchell family, who also run Springbank.
The whisky matured 90% in bourbon casks and 10% in sherry casks, which add vanilla and a soft sweetness along with some fruit. It is bottled at cask strength of 58.6%, with natural amber colour and no chill-filtration.
