Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13 is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle distillery, bottled at cask strength in 2025 at 58.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is peated to around 45 PPM.
The whisky matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks, about 90%, with the remaining 10% from ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose offers creamy butterscotch, banana fritters and elderflower, with peat smoke and a light maritime edge behind. The palate is full and oily, with peat smoke, honeydew melon and a savoury note of Iberico ham. The finish is long and smoky, with verbena and honeycomb.
