Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 5 is a peated single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. It was bottled in November 2021 at 57.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The batch was vatted from 85% bourbon casks and 15% sherry casks.
The nose brings rich peat smoke, sweet malt, light citrus and warm wood. On the palate there is creamy vanilla, salted caramel, roasted nuts and heavy smoke. The finish is long, smoky and slightly spicy, with a hint of sherry sweetness.
