Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 14 (70cl, 58.3%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery. This is Batch No. 14, bottled at a cask strength of 58.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It departs from the distillery's usual lightly peated style, with a phenol level of about 45 PPM. The expression is released twice a year. Maturation varies from batch to batch, but it is most often mainly in ex-bourbon casks, which balance the peat smoke with sweetness.
