Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 9 (70cl, 59.2%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 9 is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle, the ninth release in the Heavily Peated series that followed the Peat in Progress range launched in 2019. It was bottled on 14 August 2023 at 59.2% ABV, without an age statement. The batch is 90% ex-bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. The nose brings freshly baked shortbread, cream soda, banana bread and desiccated coconut. The palate continues with creamy vanilla, buttered sponge and custard. Peat is clearly present in the finish, with a hint of gooseberry.
