Kilkerran Heavily Peated Small Batch

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Small Batch is a single malt from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, sold under the Kilkerran name. Mitchell's Glengyle was founded by William Mitchell in 1872, close to Springbank. Production stopped in 1925, and in November 2000 the buildings were bought by a new company, Mitchell's Glengyle Limited. Because the name Glengyle was already used for a blended Highland malt, the whisky took the name Kilkerran, from the Gaelic name of the settlement where Campbeltown now stands.
