Kingsbarns – 10 Year Old The Cambo Estate Collection 1st Annual Release STR Portuguese Red Wine Cask (70cl, 46%)

The first annual release in the Kingsbarns Cambo Collection, a 10-year-old Lowland single malt that marks the distillery's home on the Cambo Estate in Fife. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured entirely in Portuguese red wine casks that were shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR), adding richness and spice to the naturally light, fruity Kingsbarns spirit. Each year the collection will look at a different side of the estate's history, landscape and farming heritage. Baked apple, bramble jam and blackcurrant come first, followed by cinnamon rolls, vanilla icing, plummy dark fruit and baking spice. The finish brings cracked black pepper and lingering sweetness.
