Balcomie is a Lowland single malt bottled by Kingsbarns Distillery at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery opened in 2014 and is owned by the Wemyss family. The whisky was matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry butts made of American oak. The nose offers sherry, raisins, pear, chocolate, cinnamon and berries. The palate opens softly with pineapple, dried fruit, orange and chocolate. The finish is medium in length and fresh, with a hint of roasted hazelnuts.
