Kingsbarns – Ex Peated Single Cask Cask Strength (61.5%)

This is a single cask Lowland single malt from Kingsbarns, released in 2023 at a cask strength of 61.5% ABV. It matured for six years in an ex-peated cask. The cask adds a subtle smokiness, and because the bottling comes from one cask, the influence of peated-cask maturation on a Lowland malt shows directly. The flavours are rounded, with smoky pear, tobacco, caramel, apple and banana bread, alongside peaty notes and leather.
