Kingsbarns Family Reserve is a single malt bottled at 59.2% ABV, a higher strength than its sibling, Dream to Dram. This 2020 edition is a limited release in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit is made using only Fife barley. It was filled into American oak bourbon barrels and into shaved, toasted and re-charred STR red wine barriques. After maturation the whisky was married for additional months, then bottled at the higher strength to deepen the spirit and wood character.
