Knappogue Castle 16 Year Old Twin Wood Single Malt Irish Whiskey (75cl)

Knappogue Castle 16 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt, sold in a 75cl bottle. It is matured first in ex-Bourbon barrels and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, the two woods that give the Twin Wood name. The result is fruit-forward, with malt, vanilla, dried fruit, nuttiness and oak. The nose is aromatic and malty, with ripe fruit, vanilla, toasted oak and a little sherry. The palate is deep, with malt, ripe orchard fruit, dried fruit, nuts and gentle sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering fruit, sherry sweetness and oak spice.
