Knob Creek 12 Year Old is a bourbon aged for 12 years in white American oak casks, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The oak gives it bold, spicy character, with leathered fruit, vanilla and caramelised wood, and a warm, smoky char on the finish.
The nose is toasted oak, vanilla, caramel and freshly baked Bundt cake, rich and creamy. The palate opens with rich oak and a hint of leather, then sweeter vanilla and marshmallow and a little white pepper. The finish turns drier and spicier, with black pepper, tobacco leaf, leather and oak, ending on lingering peppery oak with a touch of vanilla and peanuts.
