A Kentucky rye whiskey from Knob Creek, aged for seven years in deeply charred barrels and bottled at 100 proof in a one-litre bottle.
Its mash bill has a high proportion of corn, which gives sweet barrel character alongside the spice of the rye. The whisky is amber brown in colour.
On the nose there is sweet caramel and vanilla with deep rye spice, apple, floral notes and a hint of leather. The palate is full-bodied, with black pepper, sweet vanilla and caramel, and the finish carries lingering oak and rich spice.
