A single barrel rye whiskey from Koval, finished in Amburana casks and bottled at 50% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Amburana is a Brazilian wild cherry hardwood, also used to age cachaça and seldom found outside Brazil. Koval was founded in 2008 by Robert and Sonat Birnecker and is described as the largest independent craft distillery in the USA. The whiskey is grain-led, spicy and sweet, with notes of vanilla, cardamom, coconut and cinnamon.
