Koval – Single Barrel Bourbon (50cl, 47%)

Koval Single Barrel Bourbon is a bourbon from the Koval Distillery in the United States, bottled at 47% in a 50cl bottle. It was matured in American oak. The mash bill is 51% corn and 49% millet, an unusual grain pairing. Koval was founded in 2008 by Robert and Sonat Birnecker, who left academic careers to start the distillery. The name is Yiddish for black sheep. On the palate it is described as mango chutney and vanilla, followed by a peppery caramel finish.
