Kumano Japanese Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Kumano is a Japanese single malt from the Kishu Kumano Distillery, in the mountains of the Kishu region in Wakayama Prefecture. It is unpeated, matured for three years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's large temperature swings are said to make the whisky mature faster. Its aroma comes from a mix of cask types, including Mizunara and Hinoki wood. The whiskies are mostly bottled in small quantities. The nose is fresh, light and fruity. On the palate it is layered and deep, yet easy to drink.
