Kurayoshi 12 Year Old is a Japanese blended malt bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It comes from Matsui Shuzo, founded in 1910 in Tottori Prefecture, on the shore of the Sea of Japan. Soft Tottori ground water is used to bring the whisky down to bottling strength.
The nose offers mixed nuts, including almonds, with a heavy malt character. The palate shows vanilla and raisins with a faint smokiness, and a balance of tart and sweet. The finish is soft and smooth.
