Kurayoshi Pure Malt Blended Malt Japanese Whisky 18 Year Old (50%)

Kurayoshi Pure Malt is an 18-year-old Japanese blended malt from Matsui Shuzo, bottled in 2016 at 50%. It matured in oak casks. The distillery lies in Tottori Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Daisen, whose water plays a central part in production. The climate, with its marked swings in temperature, influences the maturation. It is usually described as showing honey, vanilla, malt, spice, smoke and a fresh note of mint.
