L'Intense Très Vieille is a Fine Champagne cognac, made from eaux de vie drawn only from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
The spirit has spent an extended time in French oak barrels, and the Très Vieille designation points to that long maturation. The aim is a balance of richness and finesse, and it suits slow sipping neat from a snifter or tulip glass.
The nose offers dried fruit, toasted oak, vanilla and warm baking spice. On the palate there is rich caramel, fig and roasted nuts with a subtle floral sweetness, followed by a long, smooth finish of oak, spice and gentle warmth.
