A 12-year-old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, revealed in 2022 as a Special Release. It was bottled without reduction at 57.3% ABV.
The virgin oak casks used for maturation add freshness and sweetness. Spice and vanilla notes blend with a powerful peat, which the high strength brings forward, and the finish is long. A few drops of water will open up more flavour.
