Lagavulin Fireside Tales is a 12 year old Islay single malt, released in 2024 as a Special Release. It is bottled at natural cask strength, 57.4%, in a 70cl bottle, after maturing in first-fill ex-bourbon and refill casks.
The sweetness comes from active oak, while an intense smoke settles down as the whisky unfolds. The aroma is exuberant and glazed, and the flavour is dense with toffee, vanilla and coconut, opening out into aromatic spices.
