Lagavulin 12 Years is a 2021 Special Release from Islay, bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured exclusively in refill American oak casks.
The nose is fresh and maritime, with sea air, salt, smoked tea, cacao and lemon zest. On the palate it is soft and oily, opening sweet with a fresh edge before smoke, wood and a salty note. The finish is long, smoky and peppery.
