A 16 year old single malt from Lagavulin, one of the southern distilleries on Islay, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is the Islay representative in the Classic Malts series from UDV (Diageo).
It is a heavily smoked whisky, with deep peat and smoke alongside a soft sherry fullness. It is often counted among the most forceful whiskies for peat, pepper and smoke.
The flavours are usually described as sea, seaweed, peat, pepper and salt.
