This is an 8 year old Lagavulin single malt from Islay, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV.
The distillery stands on a small bay in the south of the island, less than two kilometres east of Laphroaig and about a kilometre west of Ardbeg. Peated malts have been distilled at the site from local ingredients since 1742.
The flavour is smoky and charred, with sweet, salty and spicy notes and a touch of mint and chocolate.
