Lagavulin – Double Matured Distillers Edition 2022 (70cl)

This is the 2022 Distillers Edition from Lagavulin, an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in American and European oak casks, then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and heavily flamed new American oak ends. The colour is amber with brown highlights. The nose offers peat, dried fruit, vanilla and raisins. On the palate come marine notes, smoke, salted caramel and sherry, and the finish carries lingering oak, spices and peat.
