A Lagrein Riserva from Alto Adige, from the Dolomite area. Lagrein is known for tannic structure and colour intensity; here ageing in wooden casks softens its rustic character and adds complexity.
The glass opens with ripe berry fruit, sweet spice and a light balsamic note reminiscent of undergrowth. On the palate it is rich and harmonious, with soft tannins.
It suits red meats, game and aged cheeses.
