Langhe Nebbiolo DOC - Gianfranco Alessandria

A red wine from the Langhe hills, made from Nebbiolo. It has an intense ruby colour with garnet shades. The nose shows red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, with floral notes of rose and violet, plus spice and earthy hints. On the palate it is balanced and well structured, with finely polished tannin and lively acidity. Maturation in wooden barrels adds delicate vanilla and chocolate notes. It pairs with Piedmontese dishes, aged cheeses and lightly spiced food.
